About Nadadouro

Nadadouro is one of the parishes of Caldas da Rainha. Home to almost 2,000 people, it sits on the shore of the largest coastal lagoon in Portugal, the Óbidos Lagoon.

Despite being so close to the lagoon, people here live not only from fishing and shellfish but also from farming. The village dates back to the building of Quinta da Foz in Foz do Arelho and borders the municipality of Óbidos.
