Cycling Museum at Caldas da Rainha
The Cycling Museum in Caldas da Rainha tells the story of the sport from its beginnings to the present day.
Admission is free. The museum is on Rua de Camões, one of the city’s main streets, which links one of the entrances to Caldas da Rainha to the Thermal Hospital. Pilgrims once came this way in search of the famous local pottery and cavacas das Caldas (a local pastry).
In an Art Nouveau building covered in “Caldas green” tiles, you can discover bicycles that climbed the Serra da Estrela without gears, along with other historic pieces.
The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions.
