What to see and do in A-dos-Francos
With an area of 18.93 km² and 1 701 inhabitants, A-Dos-Francos turn into a village in 2009.
Today it is part of the municipality of Caldas da Rainha, but it was not always so, only in 1885 did the passage of Óbidos to Caldas da Rainha.
Its genesis is not known for certain, but the local parish council attributes its appearance between the IX and XII centuries.

We know that the postal service was launched in the XVI century by King D. Manuel I, who at that time was called main mail.

This structure was built in 1855/1856 shortly after the construction of the road that connected Lisbon to Porto.

The Parish Church of São Silvestre is in A-dos-Francos and is an XVIII century building with a Baroque architectural style.
Sociedade Instrução Musical Cultura e Recreio A-dos-Francos
According to its Facebook page "The Society for Musical Instruction, Culture and Recreation is today the largest cultural organization in the village of A-dos-Francos.
In it are integrated the Banda Filarmónica, centenary, founded on April 15, 1906 and that remains today without interruptions, the Folkloric Ranch "Danças do Arnóia" founded in 1980, and the Popular Marches since 1995. "
Grupo Desportivo e Cultural de A-dos-Francos
The club's foundation dates back to 1976, and today its women's football team that plays at the top level.
Associação cultural Recreativa e Desportiva de Stª. Helena
The association is based in Casais de Sta Helena and was founded in 2009. Its main activities are: Delivering the Bolo Rei (Traditional Christmas cake) Cake to the elderly, walking tours, ACRD Stª Helena Anniversary, Children's Day, Annual Festivity of Stª Helena, Biking and the Christmas Tree.
