What to see and do in Nadadouro
Nadadouro is another of the parishes that make up the municipality of Caldas da Rainha. This place with almost 2000 inhabitants is located almost on the banks of what is the largest coastal lagoon in Portugal, Lagoa de Óbidos.
Despite being close to the lagoon, the population does not live only from fish and seafood but also from agriculture. The town dates back to the time of the construction of Quinta da Foz in Foz do Arelho and borders the neighboring municipality of Óbidos.
In addition to all this, this place is known for hosting the best Carnival parties in the municipality and is held every year by the Nadadouro Cultural and Recreational Association.
Lagoa de Óbidos
At about six kilometers long, this is the largest coastal lagoon in the country. Excellent for water sports due to the wind, as well as for bird watching (especially in autumn and winter). It borders the municipality of Óbidos!
