Ermida do Espírito Santo in Caldas da Rainha
The Ermida do Espírito Santo stands in Largo João de Deus, between Parque D. Carlos I and the Mata Rainha D. Leonor woodland, in Caldas da Rainha.
Built in the 16th century, it is one of the oldest buildings in the city.
It was remodelled in the 18th century, funded by the bequest of D. Eugénio Botto Silva.
The interior is not open to the public, but the exterior is well worth a look, especially the coat of arms of the Third Order of St Francis above the main door.
