Ermida do Espírito Santo in Caldas da Rainha
The Ermida do Espírito Santo in Caldas da Rainha, is located in Largo João de Deus, between Parque D. Carlos I and Mata Rainha D. Leonor. The Espírito Santo Chapel was built there in the 16th century, being one of the oldest buildings in the city.
It was remodeled in the 18th century with the sponsorship of the testamentary legacy of D. Eugénio Botto Silva.
As the richness of its interior is not open to the public, its exterior is clearly worth a visit, highlighting the fantastic coat of arms of the Third Order of S. Francisco, located just above the main door.
