Bernardo Museum of Contemporary Art

The Bernardo Museum at Caldas da Rainha is one of two spaces, together with Casa Bernardo, dedicated to contemporary art managed by the PBernardo Association.

Born from the will of Pedro Bernardo, the Bernardo Museum, opened in 2007, regularly presents the association’s collection but also promotes other artists, national and international, in the most varied forms of plastic expression.

In the words of Pedro Bernardo, the Bernardo Museum promotes “Support, defense and dissemination of contemporary art, namely through exhibitions, cycles and exhibitions, artistic residencies, international exchanges. Support for individual and collective creation, creation of spaces with socio-cultural functions and civic intervention “.
